» Sen. Feinstein: Private Gun Sales Play Into Terrorists’ Hands

Do you need a 30 round clip and an AR-15 to hunt? …I don’t understand

There ya go … she doesn’t understand. But actually, she doesn’t understand exactly what it is she doesn’t understand.
What does she understand? She understands tyranny, big time. She knows how to do that and part of doing that right is claiming you don’t understand why free people would object to being disarmed.
What she doesn’t understand is that we do not need to explain why we need, want, have or seek to have 30 round clip-a-zines, AR15s or anything else that pushes lead through a barrel.
She doesn’t understand why it’s none of her damnable business, and like all the anti-gun bigots, would not understand why there’s a rope around her neck when we’ve finally had our fill of wannabe tyrants constantly forcing us to defend our defense.

Sen. Ted Cruz said it. Others have said it. It needs to be said over and over until it sinks in.
The only purpose of universal background checks is as a backdoor approach to national gun registration.
Tell someone that today. And again tomorrow.

» America’s Foes Call Obama’s Bluff

The joint military exercises between South Korea and the United States were supposed to demonstrate that the two countries together could easily defeat the north. But the exercises were a bluff. A demonstration that no one could take seriously. North Korea certainly did not. Instead it called Obama’s bluff by playing a game of nuclear chicken, raising the stakes and the rhetoric.

Obama blinked. The United States put the playbook on hold, cancelled a missile test and began clumsily urging everyone to tone down the rhetoric to avoid a war. The game of chicken had ended with Obama, Kerry and Hagel squawking in a corner.
Asia has lost faith in American stability. Eastern Europe is learning the same lesson. And the Middle East learned it years ago. Whatever happens with North Korea is no longer up to Obama. Just as the UK and France made all the important decisions in Libya and Syria, the North Korean crisis is in Japan and South Korea’s hands.

» If President Barack Obama had a son, would he look like any of the babies Kermit Gosnell beheaded?

“If these children are being born alive, I, at least, have confidence that a doctor who is in that room is going to make sure that they’re looked after.” — Illinois state senator Barack Obama in 2002, arguing against legislation to protect babies born alive

~~ via Hope n’ Change Cartoons : SEQUESTER BLUES

To make sure that the pitiful Obama sequester cuts damage American morale as much as possible, the “Blue Angels” precision flying team has been grounded – although if the pilots can learn to play soul music, there’s still a chance that they might be paid to perform at one of the Obamas’ next celebrities-only Whitehouse private parties…which are still fully and extravagantly funded.

» Sebelius Tries To Blame GOP For Coming ObamaCare Failures

Earlier this week, Health and Human Services head Kathleen Sebelius admitted that she didn’t realize how complicated getting ObamaCare off the ground would be ….. she was trying to find a way to blame Republicans for ObamaCare’s failures when the inevitable problems start emerging.
Sebelius’ fellow Democrat, West Virginia Sen. Jay Rockefeller, had a more accurate take on the problem the administration faces: the law is “probably the most complicated piece of legislation ever passed by the United States Congress” and “if it isn’t done right the first time, it will just simply get worse.”
Rockefeller, like a growing number of Democrats, realizes that ObamaCare is shaping up to be a political disaster for the party next November.
Maybe it’s because even Sebelius now admits that ObamaCare will force insurance claims up 32%.
Or possibly it’s because, despite endless assurances that the insurance exchanges would be ready on time, the administration had to delay for a year a key feature meant to give small business a choice of health plans.
Or because neither Sebelius nor the states have provided evidence they can get the rest of the exchanges ready by Oct. 1, when ObamaCare’s open enrollment begins.
Or perhaps Democrats’ fears stem from state insurance commissioners warning of a rate shock once ObamaCare’s “community rating” rules and benefit mandates start. Or from rising evidence the law is hurting job growth as small businesses try to avoid its costs.
None of this, mind you, has anything to do with Republicans. And if the GOP were smart, it’d be focused on making sure that, come next November, the public knows that, too.

Aw crap! If the future of our Republic depends on the smartness of the GOP, we are so screwed. If the voting majority of the public is to know how the Dhimmicrats have screwed us over, it’s going to be up to you and me. We’re gonna hafta do it. We can’t afford to wait for the stupid party to find their balls.

» The Second Amendment as an Expression of First Principles

The notion of collective rights is wholly the invention of the Progressive founders of the administrative state, who were engaged in a self-conscious effort to supplant the principles of limited government embodied in the Constitution. For these Progressives, what Madison and other Founders called the “rights of human nature” were merely a delusion characteristic of the 18th century. Science, they held, has proven that there is no permanent human nature—that there are only evolving social conditions. As a result, they regarded what the Founders called the “rights of human nature” as an enemy of collective welfare, which should always take precedence over the rights of individuals. For Progressives then and now, the welfare of the people—not liberty—is the primary object of government, and government should always be in the hands of experts. This is the real origin of today’s gun control hysteria—the idea that professional police forces and the military have rendered the armed citizen superfluous; that no individual should be responsible for the defense of himself and his family, but should leave it to the experts. The idea of individual responsibilities, along with that of individual rights, is in fact incompatible with the Progressive vision of the common welfare.

» The ‘Rain Tax’

In 2010 the Obama administration’s Environmental Protection Agency ordered Maryland to reduce stormwater runoff into the Chesapeake Bay so that nitrogen levels fall 22 percent and phosphorus falls 15 percent from current amounts. The price tag: $14.8 billion.

A bureau of unelected, unaccountable federal thugs ordered a sovereign state to expend $15 billion, and instead of smacking the impudent band of hoodlums the State complied.

And where do we get the $14.8 billion? By taxing so-called “impervious surfaces,” anything that prevents rain water from seeping into the earth (roofs, driveways, patios, sidewalks, etc.) thereby causing stormwater run off. In other words, a rain tax.

» New York town removes flag as ‘offensive’ Tea Party symbol

The United Veterans Memorial & Patriotic Association replaced a tattered American flag at the New Rochelle Armory, flying the Gadsden flag underneath it. The bright yellow “Don’t Tread On Me” flag has been used by the Navy and Marine Corps since 1775.

When a city council member complained to the city manager that he found the flag offensive, the city manager initially decided to let the flag fly anyway. But the city council overruled him, and the flag was taken down. On Wednesday, the council voted 5 to 2 to keep the veterans from putting the flag back up.

The Gadsden flag is an official historic flag of the United States …. just so you know.
And to fly it, is to proclaim it’s meaning – Dont tread on me. There’s an implied threat there – If you try to tread on the rattlesnake it will bite you and you will die.

The veterans group has retained the Thomas More Law Center to regain the right to fly the flag. They have not yet filed a lawsuit.

Rattlesnakes ain’t what they used to be. Perhaps we need a revised version of the Gadsden flag to add the words “Lest I Sue Thee”.

If you put up the Gadsden, at least honor the spirit of the flag: Orders to take it down should result in immediate ass-whoopin’ ….. or at least an enthusiastic reply of F**K YOU
