Ten years ago Britons were told to expect global warming only and that snow would be a thing of the past. Yet the opposite has arrived, three winters in a row. This winter it crippled the entire nation for nearly a month in December 2010.

» China Proposes To Cut Two Thirds Of Its $3 Trillion In USD Holdings

Not surprisingly, China appears to be getting ready to cut its USD reserves by roughly the amount of dollars that was recently printed by the Fed, or $2 trilion or so. And to think that this comes just as news that the Japanese pension fund will soon be dumping who knows what. So, once again, how about that “end of QE” again?

» Washington state legislature considering electric-vehicle fee

Now taxpayers in Washington who bought the government’s line about electric cars being a better deal will have to pay the state a unique penalty for complying, if the state legislature gets its way. That’s on top of the penalty of still paying too much for the class of car purchased, and the penalty of the eventual battery replacement and disposal costs that will make the resale value on their vehicle something close to nil.

» Arizona prospering after SB 1070

Arizona’s prosperity should come as no surprise. Arizona is a red state, and the 2010 Census indicates that people are fleeing the bluest states for more conservative states like Arizona, New Mexico, Idaho and Utah. Even growth in California has finally slowed; its disastrous liberal policies now outweigh its attractiveness. For the first time in history, California has failed to add a new House seat.
With all the people moving to Arizona these days, maybe it would have been a good thing if SB 1070 had scared some of them away. Fortunately, Arizona is not destined to become another California. It may become crowded, but its extremely conservative legislature will never adopt the bankrupting, politically correct laws that have ruined California.

With the influx of ex-bluestaters, bringing with them the attitudes and ideals of the statists, how long before Arizona’s legislature is not so convervative? How long before the transplants manage to turn Arizona into a progressive hell-hole like the blue states they originally escaped from?

» Obama’s Machete Hacks Up Pentagon Budget

Obama is doing to the Pentagon what he refuses to do to any other part of the executive branch: he’s taken a machete to its budget.

If Congress imposed a 100% tax, taking all of the earnings above $250,000 a year, every last cent, it would yield the massive sum of $1.4 trillion. Sounds like a lot, but tit would keep the government running for 141 days. And who pays for the remaining 224 days?

» Liberals struggle with Tea Party reality

Back in 2009 liberals like Nancy Pelosi erroneously described the Tea Party as “AstroTurf” and said that attendees were funded by the “high end” with the organization being heavily influenced by the Republican Party. Since that time, Tea Party voters have often voted against liberal Republicans with decent results. Time has made it easy to see that Pelosi was wrong in her “AstroTurf” assessment of the Tea Party but was she wrong because she was attempting to deceive the public or because liberals can’t seem to truly fathom everyday people that champion controlled spending, an adherence to the Constitution and traditional American values? To be fair to Pelosi, Reinstein and other liberals, it’s a hefty amount of both.

» Bad Assumptions Lead to Bad Policies

Western elites have been patting the Muslim world on the head, whispering soothing praises in its ears and hoping that it will reform and turn their lies into truths. And in their minds, to “reform” means to become like them. To adopt their system of government and their way of life. So it has been an article of faith that the trouble of the Muslim world is not religious, but political. Not Islam, but dictatorships. Open up the voting booths and every pile of rubble occupied by Bedouin barbarians with 7th century mores and 20th century weapons will become just like Norway. Democracy will save Muslims from themselves. And save us from them too.

» Why do billionaires support Obama?

Of course, the corruptive practice of quid-pro-quo is not exclusive to any particular political party or politician. However, when the politician is the President and his ideology appears to be markedly socialistic, one’s fears arise that we Americans are being led down a path to State Capitalism. Wherein the wealthy, including major shareholders and executives of large Corporations find a greater degree of benefit and security being under the control of government. By way of their financial contributions to government administrators they are able to influence the laws and regulations that affect them.
State capitalism creates a two-class system. One class being the government and its employees partnered with those who control large corporations and people of great wealth. While the other class being rest of us in the private sector. In our traditional economic system the private sector has been the source of funding for the public sector. One must consider that increasing the size of the governing public sector that will include large corporations will accordingly shrink the size of the private sector and its ability to contribute to that funding.

So the choice should be apparent for those who believe in individual freedom and the tenets imbued in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. There is no place for state capitalism and a two class system that insure that those with great wealth and in high position in government have de-facto control of all of the rest of the people. Barrack Obama and all of his ilk must be removed from government and the financial bond to the wealthy completely and permanently cut. His rhetoric that he is acting for the benefit of the poor and less fortunate is pure demagoguery since his actions decry it.

» EPA Regulations Strangling America

Right now, someone is sitting at a large oak table in the EPA’s marble palace in Washington, D.C., sipping a vanilla latte and dreaming up a new rule to impose. Without fail, the EPA continues to come up with ideas that leave you scratching your head in wonderment because of the questionable science used to justify these regulations. Instead of protecting the environment, these rules dreamed up by the EPA in Washington are destroying American industry and killing job creation, which is just what our economy needs right now. This type of federal meddling is exactly what causes companies to lay off workers, move overseas, and in many cases, fail. The purpose of the Environmental Protection Agency is to protect the environment—not to regulate American industry into nonexistence.

» Desperate Measures for Desperate Times

If you strolled past your neighbor’s driveway and discovered four Land Cruisers parked side by side, what would you think of him? Would you shun him? Would you communicate your disdain to others? Would he soon become a social pariah? Likewise, therefore, if you discover two dogs frolicking and wrestling on his front lawn: You’re not looking at Buddy and Jake. You’re looking at Earth Killer One and Earth Killer Two.
