» The EPA Snake Pit

Apparently, the primary consideration for the job of EPA Director is an intense desire to destroy the use of hydrocarbons, oil, coal and natural gas, for transportation and all other forms of energy on which our economy depends. Obama, when campaigning in 2008, made it clear he wanted end the use of coal to generate electricity. At the time, fifty percent of all electricity was produced by coal and now that figure is in decline as coal-fired plants are being forced to close thanks to EPA regulations.

Don’t think of the EPA as a government agency. It is a weapon of economic destruction.

» The “We Don’t Want to Know” Form of Bias

We Don’t Want to Know, and We Can’t Report It If We Never Discover It, so Let’s Just Give this One a Miss.

You’ve seen this, of course, in the Gosnell case. The media suspects the details of the case would not be helpful for the pro-partial-birth-abortion left and therefore does not endeavor to collect the details. You can’t be charged with failing to disclose what you intentionally made yourself ignorant of.

We also see this in the case of Dzhohkar Tsarnaev. Why did USAToday alone get the scoop on the radical mosque and its myriad terrorist connections?

Not just hard work and beating everyone to the punch. Though they should be credited with that.

No, they got the scoop because other media organizations realized The News Would Probably Not Help the Left and hence gave it a pass.

» Boston Bombings Propel Fox News to First Place

The Boston bombings last week created a surge in cable-news viewing. While CNN saw its best ratings in quite some time, the real winner was the Fox News Channel, which surged to the top of the ratings, well ahead of its competitors.

» The Left-Wing Lie Machine Takes A Mortal Blow

….. a majority of Bostonians apparently figured out that the cops would be happy to come by and sweep up the mess after the terrorists got done with them. See, the majority seem to have responded that they’d have preferred to have a gun during such an event.

Naw, go figure — you have a couple of madmen on the loose who have proved they’ll walk up to cops and shoot them, and the people would like to have a fighting chance at self-defense?

One by one this incident is taking the bogus arguments used for years by the lying left and demolishing them. The terrorists were not “Jesus-loving, bible-banging right-wing freaks” — they were Muslims. The terrorists were not native-born Americans, they were immigrants that we coddled and allowed to remain in the country despite one of them committing a disqualifying crime. We not only ignored the older brother’s domestic violence we funded them with welfare, literally paying them to live while they hated us and ultimately decided to try to kill us all. The guns the terrorists bought were not purchased through some “loophole” since there wasn’t one that was possible given the state’s laws on firearms, proving that a criminal doesn’t give a damn about laws whether they pertain to guns or anything else. Massachusetts has factually had a near-doubling of murders since passing its “strict” gun control, about 60 a year, while the mad bombers managed to kill four, meaning that the bombers did less damage than one month’s butcher bill from Massachusetts liberal gun-banning law, drawing a clear picture on exactly how destructive said laws have been to the life and liberty of Massachusetts residents …..

Larry O’Conner, writing at, takes serious umbrage at remarks of NPR host.

Peter Sagal, host of NPR’s highly entertaining “Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me,” is planning a new PBS special on the US Constitution. In an interview with Politico, Sagal explains that he will be using the show to “educate” Americans about our government’s framing document .
…. as Sagal reveals his personal views of the constitution, a very “NPR” kind of attitude is apparent:

The Constitution is only as alive as we collectively have decided it is today,” he said. ”I’ve been calling it the Tinkerbell of national charters because Tinkerbell only lives if you clap, right? Or if you say, ‘I do believe in fairies, I do!’ It’s like this: ‘I do believe in civics, I do!’ And everybody believes in it, and we move on. And it’s an amazing phenomenon.

Sagal is also lampooned and lambasted in the comments to the article.

I watched the video and putting aside my suspicion that Sagal is a liberal, I can say there is very little he said that I disagree with.
O’Conner’s umbrage seems to be the result of Sagal’s use of the liberal code word ‘collective’, and his Tinkerbell analogy. Of course, O’Conner may know considerably more of Sagal’s political background than I do and thereby have a better foundation for argument.
But Sagal’s ‘Tinkerbell’ analogy, while intentionally trivializing or not, rings true.
He speaks of the story-book characters’ belief in the fairy …. faith, if you will, that she continued to live only by being believed in.
This is true of our Constitution, is it not? It has no built in self-defense mechanism other than the 2nd Amendment. There are no clauses or statements within the Constitution that proclaim it to be unchangeable or indestructible – forever and ever, amen. In fact, it has mechanisms within that facilitate it’s evolution. The Fifth Amendment offers the legal avenue of Constitutional Convention in which the entire document could be changed, trashed or reinforced. The built-in amendment process makes it possible to change or expand the scope and meaning.
The Constitution has continued to exist for two and a half centuries only because the People it serves have always maintained their faith in it, believing it to be one of the best outlines for human self-governance ever written.

Progressives have mounted an assault on the Constitution for about a century. They would dearly love to be rid of it … rid of the constraints it places on their goals and agenda. If they had been or become the majority, then the Constitution could conceivably be put aside or fundamentally revised to coincide with the Progressive’s dreams of a Communist utopia.

That could happen – we know that. Otherwise we wouldn’t be fighting the Progressive’s attempts to dilute the meanings of the amendments. If we believed the Constitution was indestructible on it’s own we wouldn’t give a flip what the commie bastards did.
As long as you and I, and those that come after us, continue to believe that the document is an inspired work of genius – as long as We the People continue to vigilantly guard our precious Constitution and maintain it’s concepts of government by the People – and do so ‘collectively’, then the Constitution will stand.

Badgering liberal public radio personalities over their choice of words in stating the obvious and/or truth does not help convince the average dumbass, low-info voter that they are so very fortunate to live within the tiny timeslot of human history that coincides with the United States Constitution.

» Air Traffic Control Crisis Deliberately Engineered by Obama

In keeping with Obama’s policy of never letting a crisis go to waste even if the crisis has to be engineered, the ongoing air traffic control problem was deliberately and unnecessarily created by the government

» Where is the mob of Muslim-hating Americans going crazy after Boston? It’s a figment of liberals’ imaginations

Whenever a bomb goes off in America or Britain, some liberals’ first reaction is to wonder whether stupid white people will go crazy and attack Muslims. Even while the dust of said bomb is settling, a certain breed of heartless commentator will shift his attention from those who were hurt in the attack to those who might be driven mad with racially tinged fury upon observing the attack: that is, the allegedly Islamophobic mob, the unenlightened public, for whom every Islamo-bombing is apparently a sign that Muslims are evil and must therefore be shouted at, spat on, and possibly punched.

Don’t most humans believe they are normal? Do we not assume that most everyone else thinks and behaves as we do?
That explains why leftists always expect violent, riotous, mobs of right-wingers to amass nationwide to attack and destroy everything and everyone that opposes us – because that’s what they do.

» Boston strong! Company-sized police unit fired 40+ rounds at UNARMED terrorism suspect

When you arm, armor, and equip peace officers like combat infantrymen, but don’t give them the training, don’t be remotely surprised when they sling lead like a bunch of scared recruits just out of basic training.

If you want cops to act like peace officers, force them to act like peace officers, not make-believe adjuncts to Seal Team 6.

» $2 Trillion Underground Economy May Be Recovery’s Savior

The growing underground economy may be helping to prevent the real economy from sinking further …. The shadow economy is a system composed of those who can’t find a full-time or regular job. Workers turn to anything that pays them under the table, with no income reported and no taxes paid — especially with an uneven job picture
…. “There’s a lot of uncertainly about immigration changes and who will be legal, and about paying for Obamacare,” she said, adding that most workers in the shadow economy are in the country illegally. “Government rules are keeping businesses from hiring.”

Meh ….
I think it’s the preppers that are keeping the economy from crashing.
There’s only so many people that will prep, and sooner or later all of them will have all they think they need – theoretically.
That’s when it hits the fan.
or not.

» Pentagon Blocks Access to Southern Baptist Website

“This is another example of the growing hostility toward evangelical Christians in the armed forces,” Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Jerry Boykin, executive vice president of the Family Research Council told Fox News. “Ironically, the very people who are sworn to support and defend the rights provided in the U.S. Constitution are being denied the right to exercise those rights individually.”

~~ Hope n’ Change Cartoon : Eat It

Like Punxatawney Phil, Hope n’ Change poked its head out of its hole to take a quick look at the news before deciding to duck back down out of the line of fire a bit longer.

In the alleged “news”: the surviving Boston bomber was “accidentally” Mirandized and lawyered up “too soon”. Michelle Obama apparently paid a hospital visit to a Saudi “person of interest” on a terrorist watch list who just happened to be at the Boston bombing detonations by sheer coincidence. The George W Bush Presidential Library opened but, disappointingly, Barry Soetoro did not burst into flame while there. Politicians in Washington began serious efforts to exempt themselves from the horror that is Obamacare. The FAA succeeded in deliberately inconveniencing as many air travelers as possible while blaming the Obama Secluster (so to speak), and on and on and on.

It makes a body weary. And thirsty, too, if you take our drift.

Still, Hope n’ Change celebrates the spirit of TGIF (“Turdboy Gone In Four”) …..
