April 28, 2010

I know who I want to be the next president.

Assuming, of course, that by ’12 the Republic still stands and elections still happen. I’m beginning to be less than super-optimistic.

» Europe debt crisis spreads to Portugal

Greece was pushed to the brink of a financial abyss and started dragging another eurozone country – Portugal – down with it Tuesday, fueling fears of a continent-wide debt meltdown.
Stocks around the world tanked … showing investors that Greece’s financial contagion is spreading.

Can Germany, Europe’s effective paymaster, continue to bail out the weaker members of the eurozone?

In the future, the phrase ‘canary in a coalmine’ will be forgotten. ‘Greek’ will take it’s place. The fall of Greece, Portugal and very soon thereafter all of Europe, into total economic collapse is going to cost lives … many lives.
America will not be immune. Our economy is teetering and swaying already. It’s not going to require too many more pushes before we all go Greek.

Both the Portugese and Greek governments have imposed budget cutbacks against political resistance from unions at home. Markets have been skeptical that they can push through enough cuts, given political resistance, to put their finances in order.

The crisis has highlighted the eurozone’s inability to keep governments from undermining the euro by running up big debts.

In other words, in the face of total bankruptcy they (we) refuse to control spending. Instead, they (we) want to simply borrow more to spend.

Wouldn’t it make more sense for America to do some drastic cost cutting instead of spending trillions of dollars that haven’t even been printed yet?

I bet that (economics aside) we would be better off without the EPA, BATF, Dept of Education, Dept of Energy and the frikkin IRS. How about we tell the U.N. to pack up and get the hell out?
But no, instead, we’re going to dump a trillion or two to ruin our health care industry, and another trillion or two to cripple manufacuring with Cape&Trade. Then we’ll legalize a few million parasites so they can suck even more wealth from the system and mail it down to Messaco.

It’s time to feed the hogs.

» The Paul – Kokesh – (Palin?) Revolution: Americans Have a Moral Obligation Not to Pay Their Torture-Funding Income Taxes

Upon hearing Kokesh’s subversive barking, logic dictates one conclusion to Gov. Sarah Palin, CWFA, and Tea Party patriots all, they must no longer encourage voters to support a man who has expressed solidarity with a criminal (not paying taxes is a crime,) and a liar (Kokesh claims on his website that he is a life-long Republican while telling people not to support the two-party system.)

Rand Paul, Adam Kokesh, and anyone who endorses or votes for them, legitimize a view of America and course of action that are indistinguishable from those of the anti-War radical Left.

Those who persist in their endorsement of Rand Paul are responsible for the political consequences of his revolutionary philosophy, a philosophy that, happily for us, was not as deceptively disguised by Rand’s treasonous partner, as by Rand himself.

» Obama Caught with His Pants Down

Remember when Barack Obama, Nancy Pelosi, and Harry Reid promised us that a government takeover of health-care would actually lower cost and reduce the deficit? Remember when we were guaranteed that a bureaucratic overhaul would leave our own current health-care coverage untouched? Oh, and remember when critics were scolded for addressing the forms of government “rationing” that are likely to occur as a result? Well, well. As usual, reality has come back to pimp slap the democrats in the end.

» Experts Warn of Escalating Chavez Threat

Latin America experts are warning about the growing threat from Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, citing new evidence of Chavez’s expanding ties with Iran and Hezbollah and other terrorist groups.

Young Venezuelans are being trained in Hezbollah camps in Lebanon . . . and Venezuela has reportedly produced uranium for Iran.

Because of the close ties between Chavez and Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, “there is a real possibility” that Chavez could get a nuclear weapon from Iran after Iran acquires that capability itself, he said.

Obama’s “friendly interaction” with Chavez at last year’s Summit of the Americas has only emboldened the Venezuelan strongman in thinking that the United States will do nothing to oppose his regime or his anti-American activities, a panelist said.

» “We Have To Pass It To Find Out How Much It Will Cost”

Not only do we have to pass the bill to find out what’s in it. Now we have to pass the bill to find out how much it will cost.

The entirely clueless Kathleen Sibelius let fly that the adminstration really hasn’t a clue as to what any of this is going to cost.

» No More Beer Summits: Tea Party ‘N-Word’ Incident Didn’t Happen, And the Congressional Black Caucus Owes America an Apology

It’s not just that Congressmen Carson’s accusation of an extraordinary racist verbal assault by the tea party participants on March 20 doesn’t appear to have occurred, it’s that the accusers have now gone into the bunker and, having raised the incendiary subject, are doing everything they can to avoid the discussion. Why? What’s changed?

Why? Because he was never able to prove his accusations. What changed was that, on the contrary, multiple proofs have become available that Carson lied. The dhimmicrats deliberately planned to provoke Tea Partiers, when that failed they lied.

They pulled that worn-out, tattered old race card, waved in the air and lied.

The grassroots and the million-strong Tea Party have been forced to be held accountable against every discussion of vile racism even though they have been proven to do nothing wrong.

The false accusation of racism grants left-wing hooligans carte-blanche to act out on their dehumanized Tea Party counterparts. That’s what the intention was with the false accusation. That was the game plan. It ties together with the similar strategy as employed by Pres. Clinton and Richard Trumka to compare tea partiers and the environment they are creating to a petri dish of hate that will spawn the next Timothy McVeigh or Lee Harvey Oswald.

The left is playing with fire. They are playing fast and loose with the facts and making things up when there are no facts at all. Just because the media (the left’s main enabler), wants to forget about it and move on doesn’t mean we will. We will remain on this case until it reaches closure.

The race card’s trump value is now zero.

Congressman Carson refuses to respond to our requests because he can’t answer questions that deserve answers. The press is drawing a line in the sand for those that are doing the job the press should be doing: “Are you calling a civil rights legend a liar?”

Unfortunately, I am. And the mainstream media are as complicit in this lie as Congressman Lewis.

» Leonard Pitts and the Race Baiters

I’ve just about had enough … constantly telling us that the bottom-up movement known as “Tea Parties” is racist. I’m tired hearing a bunch of liberals telling me what I am. I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take this anymore.

In consideration of Arizona’s new laws on illegals, consider this excerpt from the General Law of the Population:

If outsiders do not enhance the country’s “economic or national interests” or are “not found to be physically or mentally healthy,” they are not welcome. Neither are those who show “contempt against national sovereignty or security.” They must not be economic burdens on society and must have clean criminal histories. Those seeking to obtain … citizenship must show a birth certificate, provide a bank statement proving economic independence, pass an exam and prove they can provide their own health care.

well, den. I can see how those words would make leftists want to kick stink. Except for one thing, that excerpt is from Mexico’s Ley General de Población.

well, den. I can see how that wouldn’t make a ding-dang difference to the stink-kicking leftists.
