» BREAKING: DHS is not buying up all the ammunition

Put bluntly, unless the GAO is under the threat of having their families interred in FEMA camps, most of what you’re hearing from InfoWars and similarly credible sites is junk.

Conspiracy theorists will dispute this simple explanation, no doubt. But it jibes with what manufacturers of ammunition are saying. ATK subsidiary Federal Cartridge, for example, has a statement on its website advising, “We are currently experiencing high demand for our products.” In an interview with American Rifleman, Federal confirmed, too, that “the current increase in demand,” (and by implication, the increase in prices) “is attributed to the civilian market” (this means you)
Olin’s Winchester Ammunition said on its website it is also “experiencing an extremely high demand.” And privately held Freedom Group, which manufactures Remington cartridges, said “it’s clear to us that any lack of supply in the marketplace has been from consumer demand.”

» In the Dunn trial, the media lies about “Stand your ground” laws, just as they did in Zimmerman’s.

“Stand your ground” laws played no role whatsoever in the trial of Michael Dunn. Nor did “stand your ground” laws play any role in the trial of George Zimmerman. Both were straight, standard self-defense cases.

… anti-gun zealots in the media (and almost exclusively within the left-most wing of the Democratic Party) hate the concept of legally-armed civilians, and legally-armed civilian self-defense. They’ll take every possible opportunity to twist reality to attack laws designed to protect citizens defending their lives, even if it means lying to do it.

» Sow the Wind…

Connecticut’s anti-gun politicians (in both parties) and the media are beside themselves in a quivering rage.

Though they passed a blatantly unconstitutional law requiring citizens to register both their “modern muskets” and the standard-capacity magazines associated with such firearms, the response of the citizenry has been an overwhelming refusal to comply.
… a minimum of 86-percent of citizens did not register their semi-automatic firearms as required by law
… Connecticut politicians have become so adjusted to docile citizens compliantly forfeiting their rights to more government intrusion that they simply assumed a law setting up the registration of firearms for their eventual confiscation would be obeyed without question.

They’re now scrambling for what they would term “an appropriate response.”

The Hartford Courant is agitating that citizens who have refused to comply with this blatantly unconstitutional law “should be prepared to face the consequences.”

It seems obviously apparent to me that those citizens who have ignored the law and its despotic authors have demonstrated with their defiance that they are, indeed, prepared to face the consequences.
The question is whether the anti-gun politicians are prepared to do the same.

» Gun Grabber: Magazines over 10 rounds are only for ‘domestic terrorists and gangsters’

In New Jersey, the most stringent firearms laws in the country don’t satisfy the rabid activists there. They are pushing to lower the legal magazine size from 15 to 10.

“Our top priority is a 10-round limit on magazine size,” Bryan Miller, executive director of Heeding God’s Call, told on Friday. The group’s sole purpose is pushing for more gun control. Its primary tactic is to hold “prayer vigils” outside firearms stores.

“Nobody needs a 15-round ammunition magazine unless they are a domestic terrorist or a gangster,” Mr. Miller claimed.

You Get What You Tolerate
So when and how did a 15-round limit become law in the first place? At some point in the past, some blowhard, attention-seeking closet-commie pushed the meme that nobody needs more than 15 rounds except terrorists or criminals blah, blah, blah.
If they succeed in reducing the lawful magazine capacity to 10, they (or some other commie just like them) will be making speeches calling for reducing the limit to 7, then 5, then 2 – until they finally get what they really, really want: 0 capacity magazines … i.e., disarmament of the citizenry.

» If GOP Won’t Act Replace Congress with Obama Suggestion Boxes

It seems we are now a nation of one man who makes law.

I propose to dismantle the legislative branch of the government and replace the House and Senate with suggestion boxes.
Think that’s a joke? Think again.
What have we consistently heard from are spineless Republican (lack of) leadership? That we’re only 1/3 of 1/5 of pi divided by the square root of the legislature, or something.
The Republicans say there is very little they can do. Really! If that’s the case, then why are they there? What good are they?
Obama has made at least 27 changes to Obamacare on his own with no constitutional (what’s that) authority to do so.

Seriously; if we continue down the path of simply reelecting the same old jelly spine Republicans, we might as well get rid of them all and replace them with Obama Suggestion Boxes.

The New York Times has finally found a victim of Islamic aggression in Nigeria worth reporting on: homosexuals.

That took long enough. Interesting that when lefties finally notice that muslims butcher non-muslims, they only see the homosexuals among the body piles.

For example:

He was murdered because he wrote mean, nasty things about islam.
No mention of his sexuality, so don’t expect the New York Times to give a shit.

You can’t make an energy efficient omelet without killing 8,000 or so people a year. ”
» The Green Gulag

8,000 people die in the UK every year due to what is being called “Fuel Poverty”. Fuel Poverty is a trendy term for those who can’t afford to heat their home because all the solar panels and windmills, the coal bans and the wars on fracking have made it too expensive for people not to freeze to death..
… the real “Die-Ins” don’t involve bored university students lying down on the concrete and posting the results to Tumblr. They end with the generation that saved Europe from Hitler dying in their own homes.

Rising fuel prices can in no small part be attributed to environmental mania. Energy companies are not run by saints, but neither do they have an interest in pricing their product out of the reach of ordinary people. It’s hard to sell home heat to the dead or the destitute. On the other hand environmentalists do indeed want to make it hard for ordinary to be able to afford to heat their homes. That’s not a conspiracy theory. It’s their policy.

How many of the neo-Marxist termites infesting the Beltway would it take to add up to a single member of the Honor Guard standing in the snow?

Answer: All of them, plus all of them to the power of infinity.

The civil war between the Tea Party and the GOP Establishment has been brutal. But could it be the reason congressional Republicans aren’t putting the heat on President Obama for the IRS scandal?

» Barack Obama : the president as spectator to the world’s democratic uprisings

It’s one thing (usually a stupid thing) for America to waltz in and take out a tyrant; it’s another thing entirely when the nation’s own citizens are yearning to be free, and are willing to face their own government’s guns to gain that freedom. Under those circumstances, every person who believes in individual liberty should speak up — especially the president of the nation that has long represented itself as the land of the free and the home of the brave. Obama, however, will not speak.

When brave Iranians challenged the mullahs, Obama was silent. The mullahs tightened their hold.

When the Muslim Brotherhood filled the power vacuum in Egypt, Obama was silent. A year of repression ensued.

When brave Egyptians challenged the Muslim Brotherhood, Obama was silent. The country is now once again under a military dictatorship.

When brave Syrians ….
When brave Turks ….
Ukrainian ….
Venezuela ….

Obama, however, considers that there is no such thing as beneficent American power. To him, America’s strength is, by definition, malignant and destructive. He truly believes that the Iranians are better off under the mullahs, the Egyptians under the Muslim Brotherhood, the Syrians under Assad, the Turks under Erdogan, the Ukrainians under Putin, and the Venezuelans under Maduro. Judging by his complicit silence, there is no tyranny worse than that of being behold to the United States.

» Failing Liberals Turn To Oppression To Hold On To Power

… liberals just can’t have conservatives speaking. We’ll tell the truth, and that’s why liberals need to shut us up.

The Federal Communications Commission just floated a trial balloon about going out to radio and television stations to evaluate reporters on how they cover the news. There was a time when journalists’ response to a government inquiry into how they did their job would be “Go to hell, you goose-stepping bureaucratic flunky.”

Not anymore.

Their traditional intimidation tactics are wearing out. Calling someone a “racist” used to be a devastating moral indictment. Liberals’ promiscuous employment of the word first turned it into a cliché and then into an ironic punchline.
I know, saying that out loud is racist. And sexist. And cisgender heteronormative, whatever the hell that means.

If the rules of the game are now that there are no rules, then the only political currency is raw power. But we know what happens when there are no rules, where pure power is the sole measure of right and wrong. I served in countries like that. They are full of mass graves

» CBS News: Let’s Not Talk About Monica Lewinsky for Two Years

John Dickerson is the political director for CBS News and also a political correspondent for Slate. Monday he wrote a piece suggesting that everyone would be better off not mentioning Monica Lewinsky, or any other event in Bill Clinton’s history, as part of coverage of Hillary.

When it came to Romney, Dickerson suggested the candidate needed to offer the media some kind of life-changing transformation story to explain away his behavior as a teenager. But when it comes to Hillary ….

~~ via Hope n’ Change Cartoons

Speaking in Orlando, Florida (home of all things Mickey Mouse and Goofy) on Monday, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius declared “there is absolutely no evidence – and every economist will tell you this – that there is any job loss related to the Affordable Care Act.”

Unless, of course, you’re one of the economists working in the Congressional Budget Office who recently said they expect Obamacare to kill around two and a half million jobs.
