» It’s Time For The Firearms Freedom Act Of 2015

Time and again, the ATF has shown themselves to be capricious exploiters of poorly written laws, using crafty lawyers to pervert legislation to be used as legislators never intended against gun owners, manufacturing felons out of good citizens for victimless crimes.

A so-called “Firearms Freedom Act” could remove some of these obsolete and uniquely American restrictions on firearms, curtailing the manner in which the ATF could get into trouble, freeing them to focus on more pressing matters than the suppression of the basic human right to armed self-defense.

» Senator Dan Kotowski Doesn’t Understand Words

So ‘criminals’ & ‘Terrorists’ are getting 3D printers and are a threat to ‘national security’. (booga booga). OK. Let’s run w/ that. Does Senator Dan honestly think that Akmed the Dead Terrorist who is wanting to crank out 3D printed AK’s to kill as many Americans as he can GIVES A FLYING F^^K ABOUT A CLASS “A” MISDEMEANOR!? Really Dan? Do you really think that the local gangbangers are going to drop tens of thousands on a 3D printer or that they care about the consequences when they’re already violating countless other laws already on the books?

Do you ever stop being a complete moron?

I now patiently await the ISP to show up for making ‘threats’ and ‘harassing’ our legislative idiot.

» Eric Holder: “We are not at a time of war”

Here’s how delusional the Obama administration is. Attorney General Eric Holder, the chief law enforcement officer in the country, claims that the US isn’t at war (despite the authorization for military force request Obama just sent to Congress).

The US doesn’t consider it self at war, and therefore considers itself exempt from Congressional oversight. However, when it comes to reporting on the activities of the US Government, journalists should consider everything a secret and not write about leaks or military activity.

The Obama administration is trying to have it both ways so that they can skirt the responsibility of having oversight into their activity.

» Man stabs two after asking about religious beliefs

Terrence Lavaron Thomas, “asked some of the folks there if they were Muslims.”

Two of them answered … They were not Muslims.

Thomas “was not not happy with that answer,” … “without provocation,” Thomas pulled out a 3-inch folding knife “and attacked one of them,

Do you reckon there’s more to this story than that? Whoever heard of someone going bat-poo crazy and stabbing somebody because they answered no to “are you muslim?”
Well, except for muslims of course. Yea, muslims do that sorta thing. They’re touchy like that.
But let us not jump to conclusions, just because … uh, wait a sec …oops. I shoulda read the whole thing …

Thomas “said that he was a Muslim,”

Well. There ya go.

» Democrats Freaking Out as Obamacare Tax-Penalty-Fee-Fines Loom for Millions of Americans

Who could have predicted that 2,500 pages of law and 50,000 pages of regulations — that not one person read in toto — would turn out to be a complete cluster?

Michigan’s Sander Levin, the ranking Democrat on the Ways and Means Committee, and Democratic Reps. Jim McDermott of Washington, and Lloyd Doggett of Texas. All worked to help steer Obama’s law through rancorous congressional debates from 2009-2010.

The lawmakers say they are concerned that many of their constituents will find out about the penalties after it’s already too late for them to sign up for coverage, since open enrollment ended Sunday.

The whole point of the tax-penalty-fee-fine was to force people into the program so that Obamacare wouldn’t collapse under its own weight.

And now the Democrats are concerned?

Too late, dipsticks. Next time try reading the damn bill before you pass it.

From the comments:

I’m sure millions of Americans are thinking something like, “I voted for Obama because he said that he was going to make somebody else pay my medical bills. But now he’s saying that I’m supposed to pay someone else’s bills? That’s not fair!”

» A Revisionist Muslim History of America

The deceits of Peter Manseau and the New York Times, which never bothers fact checking even the wildest Muslim claims, are in their own way every bit as dishonest as Erdogan’s Cuban mosque. The difference is that they have the protective coloration of academia and journalism. Their dishonesty is more sedate and buried under protective layers of omissions and distortions.

Revisionist Muslim histories of America should be rejected, whether they come from Erdogan or the New York Times, because they are built on lies. And a history built on lies cannot stand.

» There Is No Modern Islam

Like math and the Midwest, ISIS confuses progressives. It’s not hard to confuse a group of people who never figured out that if you borrow 18 trillion dollars, you’re going to have to pay it back.
… Raised to believe that history inevitably trended toward diversity in catalog models, fusion restaurants and gay marriage, the Arab Spring led them on by promising that the Middle East would be just like Europe and then ISIS tore up their Lonely Planet guidebook to Syria and chopped off their heads.

Progressive politicians and pundits trying to cope with ISIS lapse into a shrill incoherence that has nothing to do with their outrage at its atrocities and a lot to do with their sheer incomprehension. Terms like “apocalyptic nihilism” get thrown around as if heavy metal were beginning to make a comeback.

Those few analysts who admit that the Islamic State might be a just a little Islamic emphasize that it’s a medieval throwback, as if there were some modern version of Islam to compare it to.

When ISIS demands Jizya from non-Muslims, it’s not reviving some controversial medieval behavior. It’s doing what even “moderate” Muslim countries were doing until European guns and warships made them stop.

If the French hadn’t intervened, the same ugly scene would have gone on playing out in Morocco. If the United States hadn’t intervened, the Saudis would still openly keep slaves.

Islam never became enlightened. It never stopped being ‘medieval’. Whatever enlightenment it received was imposed on it by European colonialism. It’s a second-hand enlightenment that never went under the skin.

ISIS isn’t just seventh century Islam. It’s also much more recent than that. It’s Islam before the French and the English came. It’s what the Muslim world was like before it was forced to have presidents and constitutions, before it was forced to at least pay lip service to the alien notion of equal rights for all.

» Islam: Banned for Blasphemy?

… the OIC seems to miss one grand irony: if international laws would ban cartoons, books, and films on the basis that they defame Islam, they would also, by logical extension, have to ban the entire religion of Islam itself—the only religion whose core texts actively and unequivocally defame other religions, including by name.

Considering that the word “infidel” (kafir) is one of Islam’s most derogatory terms, what if a Christian book or Western cartoon appeared declaring that “Infidels are they who say Muhammad is the prophet of God—may God’s curse be upon them”? If Muslims would consider that a great defamation against Islam—and they would, with the attendant rioting, murders, etc.—then by the same standard it must be admitted that the Koran defames Christians and Christianity.

What if Christian books or Western movies declared that the sacred things of Islam—say the Black Stone in Mecca’s Ka’ba—are “idolatry” and that Muhammad himself will return and destroy them? If Muslims would consider that defamation against Islam—and they would, with all the attendant rioting, murders, etc.—then by the same standard it must be admitted that Islamic teaching defames the Christian Cross.

» How Political Correctness Improved My Life

In the early 1990s, some of my less-combative conservative friends were intimidated (or annoyed) into silence. They just didn’t want to deal with the nonsense, and they didn’t want to deal with the backlash. So they kept quiet, kept their heads down, and left school with their conservatism more or less intact. But after speaking to thousands of contemporary conservatives on dozens of campuses across the nation, it seems to me that political correctness has lost even that modest power over the right. We’re over it. We don’t care.

Our nation is increasingly polarized, and PC bears significant blame. There exists a great mass of conservatives who are now utterly immune to the stigma and name-calling, a vocal mass of radicals who tolerate no dissent, and a shrinking apathetic middle that is subject to intimidation but also annoyed by ideological hectoring. There are still thoughtful liberals and conservatives who hash out differences with reason and respect, but I fear the space for that dialogue is shrinking. PC doesn’t so much liberalize our nation as divide it, and the divisions will only widen the louder and angrier the forces of political correctness become.

» HGTV Star Arrested For Burglary…Will They Cancel His Show?

Now another HGTV star has stirred up controversy. Will HGTV now cancel Vanilla Ice’s show?

» GOP Double-Crossing Traitors

McConnell’s spokesman at the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Brad Dayspring, predicted that Obama’s amnesty threat would drive voters to “elect a new Senate (that) will stand up to the president.”

Check! Mission accomplished! Done and done! Officially off our bucket list. OK, guys, your turn. When do you start standing up to the president? Hello? Hell-oooo?
