» The New Executive/Judicial Branch…

This story details the latest confusion in our government concerning executive overreach and constitutional mis-understanding.
“The Obama administration says a federal law that bans recognition of same-sex marriage is unconstitutional and has directed the Justice Department not to defend the law anymore in court cases across the country.”
Silly me.

I thought the authority to declare existing laws Constitutional or not rested with the Supreme Court, not the Executive branch.

You people in the political caste are setting up a dangerous precedent here.

If you are not required to observe the law, if you are not required to use the system, you have no ground from which to condemn others who follow in your example and use other than legal means to win arguments.

In such a case, justice is defined by whoever brings the most violence to bear on a given situation.

~~ thanks for the tip, Hans

» If You Read One Article This Month…

Let me be blunt, dear friends — anybody noticed any bankers going missing lately?

How about union leaders?

Government lawyers?

The other major and minor cannibals strutting about your AO – every single one of them still has all ten fingers and ten toes, right?

You do understand that these gang members have destroyed the country into which you were born, and ensured that your children and grandchildren face a nearly-inescapable future as debt serfs, right?

And what would Henry Bowman do?

» Democrats Wish for Blood in the Streets

Congressman Michael Capuano (D, Massachusetts) was among the prominent decriers of right-wing hatred and incitement. Now we come to find out that incitement to violence is perfectly OK, as long as a Democrat is doing the inciting.

Capuano also said “Every once and awhile you need to get out on the streets and get a little bloody when necessary.”

Being the gracious type of feller that I am, if there’s any dhimmicrats that want to follow that advice and get a little bloody, heck, I’d be more than happy to help. Pick up the phone, gimme a call.

The antics of the union thugasites in Wisconsin are a prelude to shocking images coming out of America.
It won’t be tolerated in this here neck of the woods.

» The Threat of Government Power

As the 10th richest man in America, Michael Bloomberg wields a personal fortune of a mere 18 billion dollars, but as the Mayor of the City of New York, he disposes of an annual budget of 63 billion dollars. In a single year, he disposes of three times his own net worth. A sum that would wipe out the net worth of any billionaire in America. That is the difference between the wealth wielded by the 10th wealthiest man in America, and the mayor of a single city. And that is the real concentration of wealth. Not in the hands of individuals, but at every level of government, from the municipal to the state houses to the White House.

While liberal pundits pop on their stovepipe hats, fix their diamond stickpins and cravats, and trade in 19th century rhetoric about the dangers of trusts and monopolies– the power in 20th century America lies not in the hands of a few industrialists, but with massive monopolistic trust of government, and its network of unions, non-profits, lobbyists and PAC’s. The railroads are broken up, offshore drilling is banned, coal mining is in trouble and Ma Bell has a thousand quarreling stepchildren– now government is the real big business. How big?

Entire states are going bankrupt because of political trusts formed by politicians and public sector unions which pass money back and forth to each other in the plain sight of God and the American taxpayer.

In response to a suit on the legality of forcing Americans to buy a product from a private company, Judge Gladys Kessler declared that an individual who does not buy a product, falls just as much under the jurisdiction of the the Commerce Clause governing interstate commerce, as one who does buy a product. And can be punished for it. Never mind the powers of the executive and the legislative, the Bill of Rights, the enumerated and the unenumerated– they have all just been trumped by a clause meant to govern foreign and interstate trade. Forget reading laws into commas, the entire Constitution has just fallen into a single clause that was meant to limit Federal authority to interstate and foreign commerce.

It’s easy enough to go down the list, but why bother. Suffice it to say that . . .

The good news out of Wisconsin is that public school students’ test scores skyrocketed last week, mystifying educators. The bad news is many student-teacher love affairs were hard-hit without access to janitors’ closets and locker rooms.

Government unions have nothing in common with private sector unions because they don’t have hostile management on the other side of the bargaining table. To the contrary, the “bosses” of government employees are co-conspirators with them in bilking the taxpayers.

» Boomerang: Attacks on the Tea Party Coming Back Around on Progressives

The left spent 18 months building up a media image of the Tea Party as racist, angry, violent and hateful based on a handful of intemperate signs and statements (and lots of insinuation). Now, just in the month of February, every bit of that image has been shown to be a case of projection.

» The Decline of Islam?

Chapel Hill, Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of a founder of Hamas turned Israeli spy, gave a speech about his experiences and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

He said that the key to a lasting peace is not a two-state solution, one-state solution, or any other sort of negotiated settlement. The key, he thinks, is to end Islam

Shockingly, Yousef said that he could foresee this–the large scale abandonment of one of the world’s largest religions–happening within ten years. New technology is making information easier and easier to spread (as an example of its power, he cited the recent wave of dictator-toppling protests across the Middle East), and, he thinks, once people see what’s wrong with Islam, they will convert as he did.

» The doomed presidency

How expensive will food be in 20 months, when Obama seeks re-election? Fuel costs are rising, and that will push food prices higher no matter what else happens. Retailers who are currently restocking their food supplies will have to recover higher costs they are paying now by passing that on to the consumer later. Environmental regulators are making policy each day which will have its sting to the consumer months or years later: if Obama acted now, he could slow the rise in food costs, but not before November 2012.

When the left places our fetishes with Ethanol and environmentally caused droughts in California farmland, it hits our pocket, but in those parts of the world where malnutrition is reality, hunger turns to violence. Obama cannot quell this rage by symbolic gestures. The more he tries to finesse the real hunger of nations with conferences and rhetoric, the more the streets of these nations will turn against him.
