» Properly Defending Liberty Comes Down To One Thing: World View

“Garden snail” … “knuckle-draggers” … “fools” … “cretins.” These are words for open carriers normally reserved for web sites like Mother Jones, Balloon Juice, or perhaps Salon.

Led by a walking, talking, baton-twirling piece of shit.
What does that make us?

» Horse Pucky from Obama

On Tuesday, the so-called Islamic State released a slickly produced video showing a Jordanian pilot being burned alive in a steel cage. On Wednesday, the United Nations issued a report detailing various “mass executions of boys, as well as reports of beheadings, crucifixions of children, and burying children alive” at the hands of the Islamic State.

And on Thursday, President Obama seized the opportunity of the National Prayer Breakfast to forthrightly criticize the “terrible deeds” . . . committed “in the name of Christ.”

It is perverse that Obama feels compelled to lecture the West about not getting too judgmental on our “high horse” over radical Islam’s medieval barbarism in 2015 because of Christianity’s medieval barbarism in 1215.

» The Ghosts of Auschwitz in the Middle East

The media coverage should sound familiar. It’s how Iran’s nuclear buildup is being covered. It’s how Muslim violence against Jews is covered. It’s discussed reluctantly and immediately dismissed. Jews are written off as pests who refuse to listen when Kerry, like Hull, tells them there’s nothing to worry about.

That is how the Holocaust really happened.

…Auschwitz requires more context than just Hitler. It requires that we understand why so many countries and so many world leaders enabled him. And it is not a difficult thing to understand. All we need to do is look at the response to Muslim attempts to kill Jews before and after the Holocaust.

It was easier to appease the Nazis. It is easier to appease the Muslim world.

Auschwitz is what happens when we fail to take threats like that seriously because we want peace at any price. The price of peace was Auschwitz, it was millions dead, countries carved to pieces, peoples enslaved for years and others for generations. The price of peace was ignorance, apathy and then war

» The energy industry is booming – in spite of Obama

Although in speeches Obama likes to take credit for America’s increased oil and natural gas production, these gains have occurred in spite of the president’s policies, not because of them. Oil and natural gas production has surged on non-federal lands while oil and natural gas production has fallen on the one area the president has jurisdiction over – federal lands.

According to a nonpartisan Congressional Research Report released last year, oil production on federal lands fell 6 percent between 2009 and 2013. Over the same period of time, oil production increased by 61 percent on state and private lands.

America’s oil production on state and private lands has increased more than Algeria, Libya, Qatar, and Norway independently produce. Yet, none of these gains would have been possible if the same administration that continues to block the Keystone XL Pipeline had authority over all U.S. territory.

Next time you hear Democrats or the President taking credit for America’s low unemployment rate or gasoline prices, just think how much better it could have been if they got out of the way of America’s oil and natural gas producers.

» The Big Lie: 5.6% Unemployment

… we’re hearing much celebrating from the media, the White House and Wall Street about how unemployment is “down” to 5.6%. The cheerleading for this number is deafening. The media loves a comeback story, the White House wants to score political points and Wall Street would like you to stay in the market.

… If you perform a minimum of one hour of work in a week and are paid at least $20 — maybe someone pays you to mow their lawn — you’re not officially counted as unemployed in the much-reported 5.6%. Few Americans know this.
… If you have a degree in chemistry or math and are working 10 hours part time because it is all you can find — in other words, you are severely underemployed — the government doesn’t count you in the 5.6%. Few Americans know this.

When the media, talking heads, the White House and Wall Street start reporting the truth — the percent of Americans in good jobs; jobs that are full time and real — then we will quit wondering why Americans aren’t “feeling” something that doesn’t remotely reflect the reality in their lives. And we will also quit wondering what hollowed out the middle class.

» I come to bury Renewable Fuel Standards

… the Sierrans despise natural gas and want to totally ban the technology that created our newfound abundance of gas: hydraulic fracturing. They disregard the benefits of lower gas prices for families and factories, ignore the need for coal and natural gas-based electricity as backup power generation for wind and solar facilities, and concoct all kinds of fanciful “dangers” from fracking operations.
… America is already plowing an area larger than Iowa to grow corn for ethanol, and turning nearly 40% of all its corn into ethanol. The guaranteed income incentivizes farmers to take land out of wheat and rye, conservation easements, pasture land and wildlife habitat – and grow corn instead. Converting these vast fields of corn into ethanol requires enormous amounts of irrigation water, fertilizers, pesticides, and gasoline or diesel fuel to grow, harvest and ship the corn … and more gasoline, diesel and natural gas to produce and transport the ethanol.

… Energy per acre of corn is minuscule compared to what we get from oil and gas drilling, conventional and hydraulic fracturing (fracking) alike. Moreover, corn-based ethanol requires 2,500 to 29,000 gallons of fresh water per million Btu of energy, the US Department of Energy calculates; biodiesel from soybeans consumes an unsustainable 14,000 to 75,000 gallons of water per million Btu. By comparison, fracking requires just 0.6 to 6.0 gallons of fresh or brackish water per million Btu of energy produced.

» When University Hires Another Terrorist, This Illinois Lawmaker Takes the Matter Into His Own Hands

After the University of Illinois hired convicted terrorists–three times–State Rep. Charles Meier authored House Bill 150 to order public university decision-makers to stop using taxpayer funds to hire convicted terrorists.

So far, the University system has hired, then fired, then rehired, convicted terrorist killer and kidnapper James Kilgore of Symbionese Liberation Army infamy.

After kidnapping heiress Patty Hearst, helping to kill an Oakland, California, school superintendent and taking part in a bank robbery that left a mother of four dead, Kilgore changed his name and got out of the country.

UI also hired Bill Ayers, who admitted leading a band of Weather Underground terrorists responsible for the 1970s bombings of the U.S. Capitol, the NYPD, and the Pentagon.

But keep telling yourself that the university your kids attend is different.

» UC Berkeley Lecture: It Is ‘Necessary’ to Apply Transgender Studies to Agriculture

“Since agriculture is literally the backbone of economics, politics, and ‘civilized” life as we know it, and the manipulation of reproduction and sexuality are a foundation of agriculture, it is absolutely crucial queer and transgender studies begin to deal more seriously with the subject of agriculture,”

“By focusing on popular culture representations and government legislation since 9/11, it will become clearer how the growing popularity of sustainable food is laden with anthroheterocentric [sic] assumptions of the ‘good life’ coupled with idealized images ideas of the American farm, and gender, radicalized and normative standards of health, family, and nation.”

Uh, whut? I’m sorry, I don’t have a college degree. So of course, my limited smarts don’t be able to make sense outta that. To me it sounds like just an arrangement of big words and fancy phrases randomly packed together and seasoned with fag trigger words.
Or perhaps the author is saying we should be more like the plants that we eat. Ya know, uh, instead of being just male or female, or being in possession of reasonable facsimile of male or female genitalia, we should instead be both and …

anthroheterocentric? Bitch, did you just make that up? Does ownership of a Ph.D. come with a license to manufacture new words?

How about somebody invent a new surgery or procedure in which the patient has their nose replaced with a penis and their mouth replaced with a vagina. Then they can sit on their Ph.D. in a dark closet and screw themselves and the rest of us don’t have to suffer listening to their idiotic blather.

Sorry Mom. I used wirty dords.

» School suspends teacher who criticized ‘Black Lives Matter’ sign on Facebook

“Its turned into a race matter. What about the thugs that beat the father in his vehicle because he didn’t slow down? What about the thugs that shot the college baseball player because they were bored? The list can go on and on. If the dude hadn’t have stolen, he would be alive. I think signs should read, take the hood off your head and pull up your dang pants and quit impregnating everybody. I’m tired of paying for these sorry [expletive] thugs. I would much rather my hard earned money, that the government takes, go to people who need it, such as abusive adults with children. Not to mention the animals that they beat and fight too. That’s all I’m saying.”

If she is an English teacher then perhaps some adjustment is required for the poor grammar and sentence construction. Otherwise she’s being punished for telling the truth.

» When liberals ignore science

if you walk around believing that pesticides are killing your children or that fracking will ignite your drinking water or if you hyperventilate about the threat of the ocean’s consuming your city, you have a viewpoint that not only conflicts with science but undermines progress. So how do we approach matters that have been settled among scientists but are not widely accepted by liberals?

» NYT: Bruce Jenner a ‘Role Model,’ Chris Kyle ‘Insane’

…recent op-eds in the New York Times provide an interesting juxtaposition of dissonant perceptions of heroism and psychological health. Bruce Jenner’s recent announcement that he is undergoing surgical and hormonal treatment to “transition” into a female (and document that in a docu-series), we are told, is the courageous act of a true “role model,” while decorated Iraq war veteran Chris Kyle’s behavior is “insane” “by virtually any standard.”

» Like Brian Williams, Hillary Clinton Lied About Bosnia

Lies: Investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson reminds us the secretary of state who blamed Benghazi on a video once made up a story about courage under fire in Bosnia. Maybe Brian Williams can be her 2016 running mate.

“I remember landing under sniper fire,” Clinton said. “There was supposed to be some kind of greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.”
Her harrowing tale never happened, and Mrs. Clinton’s faulty memory also forgot that there was a reporter on the trip who was taking notes and had a video of the event.

Attkisson said, “and I thought this was a pretty good way to explain it — I put her in a box saying, ‘We got off the plane and had to duck and run for cover and there was sniper fire’ and then I show the video of what was really happening, and she’s getting off the plane and she’s waving, shaking hands with a little school girl.”

In a way, Hillary recanted her tale, saying she had a “different memory” of the event, something akin to Brian Williams claiming that the “fog of memory” had clouded his recollection.

At least they didn’t fill out the forms to award themselves Purple Hearts for their imaginary and mis-recollected brushes with death … as did our current Secretary of State.
