» Inside the Black Panther case

The New Black Panther case was the simplest and most obvious violation of federal law I saw in my Justice Department career. Because of the corrupt nature of the dismissal, statements falsely characterizing the case and, most of all, indefensible orders for the career attorneys not to comply with lawful subpoenas investigating the dismissal, this month I resigned my position as a Department of Justice (DOJ) attorney.

» Federal Revenue and the Economy

The Office of Management and Budget reports that total federal revenue more than doubled every decade from 1940 to 1980 (Table 1.3, tables). And from 1980 to 2000, total federal revenue almost doubled every decade, going from $517 billion in 1980 to $1.032 trillion in 1990 to $2.025 trillion in 2000. But in 2010, OMB estimates that total revenue will be only an anemic $2.165 trillion. If the current decade had kept pace with the last two decades, the feds would have receipts in 2010 of $4 trillion.

» Party Like It’s 1773

Beginning all around the country in 2009, patriots have organized and attended rallies marked by the “Don’t Tread On Me” Gadsen flags made popular during the American Revolution. Their goal, like that of the original tea partiers, has been to help President Obama and other Washington politicians understand that lucid Americans forthrightly reject the continued expansion of government and the idea that a politician or group of politicians possesses the right to regulate or otherwise dictate the daily minutiae of our lives.

And for those who like to keep count in such matters, it appears that in the match between tea partiers and big-government politicians, the tea partiers are winning hands down.

… incumbents of both parties who support the big-government policies that have characterized Obama’s administration to this point may want to be sure they have another job to fall back on come election season. For although the tea in Boston Harbor has long since dispersed and disappeared, there are tens of thousands of tea partiers who are still partying like it’s 1773.

» An open letter to Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee

In a set of moves unprecedented in American history, Democrats intend to use the lame-duck session combined with budget reconciliation to do what the American people have rejected. They intend to pass their radical agenda despite what 75-80% of the American people want. They intend to flip off the citizenry, bypass the filibuster and violate their oaths to uphold the Constitution.

This band of Statists has declared war on the GOP and the American people.

It’s time to stop playing patsy and refuse to vote Kagan or any other non-originalist nominee out of commitee.

Stonewall everything.

They’ve Pearl Harbored the American people enough. It’s time for our Midway.

» Another test for President Obama looms

Will President Obama allow a foreign country to seize assets owned by a United States company and U.S. citizens? Odds are yes because so far President Obama has not shown any willingness to confront tyrants. And he will fail yet another test in all likelihood.

Now if we had a real President, one who had even a modicum of respect for America and the rule of law, the first thing that would have been done upon this announcement would have been to mobilize the United States Navy and get at least a battle group headed towards these rigs. After all the role of the United States government is to protect American citizens and their properties from being unjustly infringed. The rigs belong to H&P therefore an attempt by Venezuela to take them would be a violation of basic and unalienable rights. Steeling is, after all, wrong. Chavez’s simple threat to seize the property of U.S. Corporations is a borderline act of war. Should he actually move to seize these assets there would be nothing borderline about it at that point.

All citizens should cringe at this prospect. Because when our President fails to fight for the inalienable rights of our citizens, well, you might as well just kiss your liberties good bye.

» Obama Taps Sanctuary City Supporter As Immigration Chief

Komrade Hussein has set the wheels in motion for the greatest political coup in American history. An amnesty of 18 million Hispanics will not only create a taxation crisis as they will immediately qualify for welfare, medical care, and other Bolshevik handouts, it will ultimately grant a massive advantage to the Democrat party in the electoral process; as it remains. These people are well aware of the coming defeat at the congressional level; they intend to do the maximum amount of damage possible in order to spite and crush the opposition and ultimately the American people and the nation as a whole. The crisis created from this will of course require enlarging the powers, scope, and size of government to “fix”. Nothing is being done out of stupidity, ignorance, or error; it has been prepared to transform the nation into a totalitarian regime, the likes of which, no shred of the glorious republic will remain. Organize, prepare, and mobilize my friends; the fight is much nearer than you think.

» US Arrests 10 Russian Spies

Obviously if this was a long term investigation as the FBI says, its probable that at least some progress was made in that particular mission. So…whom were the spies in contact with, who was introducing them around and who was aiding and abetting?

Wouldn’t you like to know who it is in ‘policy making circles’ that’s being protected?

» The Second Amendment, Incorporated

The sadly accurate implication of the majority’s comment on the dissents is that the “liberal” dissenters simply do not believe in the rule of law. They believe in decisions based on a desired outcome at a given time based on no particular fundamental principle.

Justice Scalia offers an extremely harsh and sarcastic view of Stevens’ dissent, saying that Stevens somehow just “knows that the right to keep and bear arms is out (while)…only ‘some fundamental aspects of personhood, dignity and the like’ are protected.” In other words, Stevens protects the rights he wants to protect, not protecting rights because they are rights.

» Dumb and Dumber

Hillary Clinton’s answer for more growth and more jobs is to remove even more money from the people who earned it and hand it over to the federal government.

That’s consistent with the economic thinking that candidate Obama revealed during an unscripted moment in the presidential campaign: “I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everyone.”
