Re-asking the Never-Answered Questions
If you prohibit visitors to your property from bearing arms for self-defense, do you assume the role of their defense proxy?
My personal rule is if I can’t trust you on my property with a gun, I can’t trust you on my property period.

» Concealed carry in Illinois adds new relevance to ‘gun-free zone’ liability laws

In 2005, nearly a decade before Illinois was dragged kicking and screaming into the reality of acknowledging that we the people are endowed with a right to not only keep, but to bear arms, such legislation would have been merely symbolic, even had it passed.
… it is past time for the state to recognize that those who use their power, whether as government officials or as property owners, to mandate that the people under their power be defenseless, are accessories to their murder, should predatory scum take advantage of their forced disarmament.

» ‘Progressive’ writer’s biggest objection to 2nd Amnd. is best reason it’s needed

… “progressive” Zack Beauchamp exhorts Americans to “ban the Second Amendment.” Immediately under that headline, he pompously intones, “Imagine the Second Amendment didn’t exist, and try arguing for a constitutional right to gun ownership. You will fail.”

Beauchamp thinks he’s smart. A lot of dumbasses do that.
But what he said (in that one sentence) is absolutely correct, he’s just not smart enough to understand why; that without the 2nd amendment, the rest would have fallen long ago. That includes the 1st amendment that protects his Right to demonstrate his stupidity by freely running his yap.

The image sums it, by asking another never-answered (by progressives) question:

Answer: Nothing.

The second amendment is the Constitution’s self-defense mechanism. The Constitution and all the Rights of We the People enumerated therein are nothing more than ink on paper without the will and determination of the We the People to uphold it. We the People’s will and determination are nothing more than thoughts and wishes without the means of sufficient force to deter a government that has no regard for the words written in ink on paper.

That is the point missed by Them the Stupid.

… back to Zack, and why gun rights as a hedge against tyranny is “corrosive”:

The tyranny argument is different from true political rights in one crucial respect: it doesn’t protect a right to democratic action. Voting, staging a protest, or writing a personal blog on politics are all attempts to influence political life through the democratic process. Protecting these rights absolutely, without exception, is a means of ensuring free and equal access to the levers of collective self-determination. . . .

Say what you will about armed revolution, but it isn’t that.

Wrong. As Mike Vanderboegh says, “When democracy becomes tyranny, the armed citizen still gets to vote.” The “recall vote from the rooftops” may offend the sensibilities of CSGV and Beauchamp–and certainly U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Representative Henry Waxman (D-CA), as well as Rep. Peter King (R-NY), but there’s certainly no need to worry about the ambiguity of “hanging chad.”

» This Is How Obama’s Weakness In Ukraine Embarrasses America

This weekend on CNN’s State of the Union, President Obama’s Deputy National Security Advisor, Tony Blinken, revealed a shocking truth.
When asked about the impact of U.S. military assistance in Ukraine, Blinken said, “It’s very unlikely to change Russia’s calculus and prevent an invasion.”

Blinken is warning that the United States, a country that was called the world’s only superpower a few short years ago, is powerless to stop Russia from invading Ukraine. Worse yet, that means the United States is incapable of holding up its end of a treaty guaranteeing Ukraine’s territorial integrity.

So Barack Obama has decided to fly to Europe to huddle with leaders from Britain, France, and Germany. Up to this point, the sanctions imposed by this merry band of appeasers have elicited yawns and laughs from Russia. And wider economic sanctions are off the table because Russia has the power to dim the lights and lower the thermostats across all of Europe. Without Russian natural gas, Europeans would almost certainly face energy shortages.

Over the longer run, America must get its own domestic and defense policies realigned. Welfare and healthcare overspending has hurt our ability to keep our defenses sound… And the first duty of the U.S. government is to keep its people safe and free.

» DC Circuit Court to Decide Tuesday Whether Obama Administration Can Rewrite Laws

On Tuesday the a three judge panel on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals will be hearing Halbig v. Sebelius, one of the more important legal challenges to ObamaCare’s legally problematic implementation. What the plaintiffs are asking is pretty straightforward – they want the judges to direct the Obama Administration to faithfully execute the plain language of the statute that Congress passed and the president signed.

At least, can you not take a break from rewriting the law long enough to enforce a little of it?

» New York City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito Strikes a Pose With Another Che Guevara Fan

The woman on the right is not a junior high student trying to annoy her parents or even a gullible coed sucking up to her Marxist professors, but New York City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito.

Even in New York, which politically speaking has degenerated into a lunatic asylum run by the inmates, you can’t attain such a high level of political power without being sufficiently aware of reality to know what Guevara represents: unalloyed bloodthirsty tyranny.

Multiple-Choice Quiz:
Melissa Mark-Viverito is too ________ to hold public office.
A. Stupid
B. Ignorant
C. Eager to project the values of a documented communist, tyrancial murderer.
D. All of the above, and throw in ugly.

Even now, it could be worse. We could have someone who moves in Che Guevara–worshiping circles running the whole country.

» Hagan doesn’t mind Obama campaigning with her because her numbers are even worse than his

Sen. Kay Hagan, D-N.C., recently broke from several of her Senate Democratic colleagues when she said she would welcome President Obama to campaign for her this year. A poll from WRAL-Raleigh released late last week may reveal why: Her own numbers are so bad that he probably can’t hurt her. – See more at:
