~~ via : Planned Parenthood Rep Claims Right to Kill Babies After Birth

Forget all that, “Her body, her choice” nonsense. Abortion isn’t about women’s rights. It’s about eugenics. It’s about killing unwanted children any time and any place. It’s about normalizing and making everyone complicit in mass murder of unwanted people at some level either by carrying it out, paying for it or agreeing with it.

From the comments:

So called pro-choicers are usually against all other kinds of choices, like gun ownership, the choice to eat fatty foods and drink large sodas, plastic bags and non-prius cars. And all the while forgetting that the only “choice” at stake here is precisely the only life that is incapable of choice.

It’s a bit like saying the Holocaust was a pro-choice event: the nazis “chose” to euthanize the Jews. I bet that if the Jews had had a “choice”, they would have decided differently. It’s murder anyway you slice it.

when a pre-born baby is seen as something without rights, a thing to be disposed of, something akin to a parasite infecting a woman’s body, a clump of cells that have no more humanity than a toe nail clipping, then society has surely lost its way. Society is going down a path littered with murdered souls and with many women who must, in their minds and hearts, regret their decision to kill a pre-born human, quietly sobbing. Tis a dark path without the spark of light that makes humans human.

» Another horrifying assertion by Planned Parenthood

No matter where you stand on the issue, the allegation that a baby surviving a botched abortion can legally be executed is noxious, repellent and — yes — evil. Yet this is the position of Planned Parenthood.

» Big depositors in Cyprus to lose far more than feared

…. depositors in Bank of Cyprus will get shares in the bank worth 37.5 percent of their deposits over 100,000 euros, the source told Reuters, while the rest of their deposits may never be paid back.
Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades on Friday defended the 10-billion euro ($13 billion) bailout deal agreed with the EU five days ago, saying it had contained the risk of national bankruptcy.

“We have no intention of leaving the euro,” the conservative leader told a conference of civil servants in the capital, Nicosia.

“In no way will we experiment with the future of our country,” he said.

Quoth the idiot who fails to grasp the fact that Cyprus is living the future that they experimented with back when they entered into the great European experiment in socialism.

A local news affiliate in Idaho reported that the First Daughters, Sasha and Malia Obama, are on a Spring Break ski trip in Sun Valley, Idaho. The story quickly spread across the Internet …. hours later, the story disappeared from the KMVT website without an update or correction. Breitbart News confirmed that the White House requested that the post be removed.

The White House has confirmed the report was removed on their request. From Kristina Schake, Communications Director to the First Lady:

From the beginning of the administration, the White House has asked news outlets not to report on or photograph the Obama children when they are not with their parents and there is no vital news interest. We have reminded outlets of this request in order to protect the privacy and security of these girls.

But this is a vital news interest. At a time when the WolfCryer-in-Chief has suspended funding for untold numbers of sensational emotional triggers in an effort to scare the living beegees outta the average LowInfoer, the taxpayer money wasted to send his brood on yet another, yet another, yet another, yet another vacation is most certainly news-worthy. And it will be news-worthy until (THHO)Obama starts funding, out of his own pocket, all the cost of his vacations, including the secret service.

If we gotta pay for it, it’s our business.

» Sequester: Democratic theory of the case

The public has largely tuned out the Democrats’ repeated warnings about mid-air plane crashes, troop deaths and mass illness from tainted meat if the sequester cuts stay in place.
But Democrats aren’t dropping the threat of disaster, seizing now on the line they think can beat the Republicans: law and order.
Prison riots, cocaine flooding the streets, terrorists on board airplanes — even hurricanes and tornadoes left undetected by budget-slashed agencies — have moved front and center as Democrats try to get the public behind blaming the Republicans.

Blaming Republicans is the second priority. The number one reason for all the teeth-grinding and screaming over “Sequester Cuts” is to create a Pavlovian response. They want American voters to cringe in horror at the sound of the words “spending cuts”.
Any spending cuts.

» Do political protests matter? Evidence from the Tea Party movement

…. protests can build political movements that ultimately affect policymaking, and that these effects arise from influencing political views rather than solely through the revelation of existing political preferences.

.~~ via Cool Research – Tea Party Rallies Had a Very Big Impact on Politics

This paper is very, very interesting and worth a closer look. But here are the highlights. The researchers conclude that having a Tea Party protest on Tax Day, April 15, in 2009 increased the number of Republican votes in that area for the 2010 midterm elections and caused their representatives to vote more conservatively.

In fact, they estimate that the protests led to an additional:

  • 25,000 to 46,000 local Tea Party organizers
  • 170,000 to 310,000 protesters on Tax Day 2010
  • $840,000 to $1.54 million in donations to Our Country Deserves Better PAC
  • 3.2 to 5.8 million votes in the 2010 House elections
  • The rallies also:

  • Increased the likelihood that incumbent Democratic representatives decided to retire prior to the elections
  • Caused Congressmen to vote more conservatively in Congress
  • Effects were driven by a persistent increase in the movement’s strength
  • Led to more grassroots organizing, to larger subsequent protests and monetary contributions, and to stronger conservative beliefs
  • Had significant multiplier effects: for every protester, Republican votes increased by seven to fourteen votes.
  • That, my friends, is a pretty stunning impact. This bit is worth quoting in full:

Our results suggest that political activism does not derive its usefulness solely from the provision of information or its consumption value, but that the interactions produced at rallies and protests can affect citizens’ social contexts in ways such that a movement for political change persists autonomously. This confirms the importance of social dynamics in networks of citizens for the realization of political change, and seems of relevance not only in the context of representative democracies, but also at the onset of revolutionary movements.

    From the comments:

    How about this strategy?
We run a Progressive candidate for President, discard the Tea Party and get our butts kicked in the election?
    Yes, that’s the ticket.

~~ via Study Finds Tea Party Rallies Added 5 Million Republican Votes

…. even a rally that has seemingly little impact, helps consolidate the base while confronting the establishment. And the entire organizational phase of political activity prepares activists for making a bigger impact elsewhere.

The left has always known this and the right is only slowly catching up.

    From the comments:

  • If the tea party wasn’t good for conservatism, liberals wouldn’t be attacking it.
  • And if Republicans wanted to be Conservative they wouldn’t be attacking it either.

» New K-12 education standards to mandate climate change instruction

Climate change may soon be coming to every classroom in the country.

Pending nationwide science standards will recommend that K-12 students at public schools learn about climate change to help fill a knowledge gap concerning the subject, while skepticism will be discouraged.
“Only one in five [students] feel like they’ve got a good handle on climate change from what they’ve learned in school,” Mark McCaffrey of the National Center for Science Education

First of all, when these clowns talk about “climate change”, what they mean is “climate change – due to human activity – that can be arrested by stopping human activity”. Because the climate changes constantly – with or without humans, always has and always will – using that term as an educational topic is more than misleading – it’s a lie.

Next, how many of those [five students] feel like they have a good handle on English? Or basic mathematics? Or can even read? Better yet, of the students who think they are a whiz at science, how many of them think carbon dioxide is an invention of man?

And then, how does one “discourage skepticism” when one has no explanation for glaringly obvious contradictions in one’s scientific mythology : Twenty-year hiatus in rising temperatures has climate scientists puzzled

DEBATE about the reality of a two-decade pause in global warming and what it means has made its way from the sceptical fringe to the mainstream.

You wanna know how to get globsy-warmzy lefties to shut up? Change the terminology from global warming to global debt. There’s something they don’t want to yap about.

» Medicare/Medicaid Reconsidering Whether to Pay for Sex-Change Surgery
Thousands (and soon millions) of Americans dependent on Medicare/Medicaid are facing serious reductions in the quality and quantity of their health care. I’m sure it will ease their pain to know that the money cut is going to good, fair, just use.
Suggestion: Try to convince your doctor to add your needed hip replacement onto his prescription for government approved dick removal.

» Al Gore, DiCaprio AWOL as Fisker Circles the Drain

Fisker Automotive, which has received $193 million of a $529 million Department of Energy stimulus loan guarantee and apparently still wants the rest of it, stopped making its sole electric car – the $102,000-plus Karma – last July. But only now has it decided to furlough workers for a week.

If you eyes aren’t squirting blood right now, then you didn’t get the full impact of that.
Perhaps a better way to have phrased that excerpt :

(THHO)Obama gave 529 million of your dollars to a greenie car company to make silly electric roller-skates that would have cost their customers over a 100 grand apiece – IF they actually got around to making one. And after a almost a year of not making any roller-skates, they finally got around to cutting back … by furloughing their idle workers for a week.

Granted, $529,000,0000 is a only a single molecule of water somewhere in a drop in the bucket of debt that (THHO)Obama has amassed …..

…. the Big Three automakers have been well known to briefly sideline workers while they tweak plants to produce a different vehicle, or to adjust inventories, etc. But Fisker has only one model, and has not manufactured any since July. And apparently making CEO Tony Posawatz nervous is the fact that Fisker is required to make a loan payment of unknown quantity – soon.

as renewable energy advocates and investors have said so often, whether in search of Recovery Act money or the preservation of special tax credits and breaks for their industries, no price is too high for the fight against global warming and the pursuit of clean energy.
So clearly KPCB’s partners, Palo Alto Investors, Gore, DiCaprio, the government of Qatar, and other existing investors need to step up to keep their vision for Fisker alive. And clearly they have the resources to make it happen
Fisker is fizzling, and the words of Gore, DiCaprio, and Kleiner Perkins still hang in the air. They have the resources, so it’s time for them to step up and save jobs, gallons of gasoline, cars on the road, and carbon dioxide emissions. While it’s not for their personal bank accounts, it’s for so much more – their fellow man and the planet. Where are they?

I wouldn’t take $1 bet that substantial portions of that $529 million is not currently sitting in the back pockets of Al Gore and Wussy-Boy DiCaprio.
