~~ via GunRights Examiner Kurt Hoffman : If armed resistance to tyranny is ‘un-American,’ America has died

Stanley Fish, professor of (in?)humanities and law, wrote an op-ed for the New York Times Monday speculating that perhaps the NRA is “un-American.” Not all NRA members, mind you–not the recreational shooters, or those who believe that the Second Amendment protects the right of self-defense (although Fish describes himself as “deeply unpersuaded” by that argument). So to whom does he refer? Only the “militant” members, and most of the leadership. Let’s have him explain who the “militants” are:

I mean those who read the Second Amendment as proclaiming the right of citizens to resist the tyranny of their own government, that is, of the government that issued and ratified the Constitution in the first place.

» Officials on Benghazi: “We made mistakes, but without malice”

“We’re portrayed by Republicans as either being lying or idiots,” said one Obama administration official who was part of the Benghazi response. “It’s actually closer to us being idiots.”

They don’t even understand the portrayal – which is not an either/or, liar/idiot choice. It’s both.
This administration was idiotic and derelict in it’s handling of the Benghazi attack, before and during the attack. This administration idiotically lied about their dereliction during and after the attack and every day since.

Two United States Servicemen fought for hours and hours against overwhelming odds and numbers with the assumption that their commanders were on the way with reinforcement. They died, fighting, waiting for (THHO)Obama to back them up.
(THHO)Obama was asleep, literally. He cared that much.

(THHO)Obama had made reelection campaign statements that would have been proven lies if he acknowledged and responded to an attack on American troops on a battlefield. He chose to protect his re-electability.

If that’s not malice, what is?

» THE TRAP: What did Hillary and Obama discuss at 10pm on the night of the Benghazi attacks?

The 10pm phone call is a trap waiting to be sprung. It could be the lynchpin that holds together the last vestiges of the most inept and corrupt administration in modern American history.

Congress must demand Clinton testify under oath and send an interrogatory to the President.

Putting both Clinton and Obama under oath will raise an interesting dilemma for both. Which ever party answers first could be contradicted on any of these matters. If Clinton answers under oath to protect herself, Obama could easily throw her under the bus. Conversely, if Obama replies to an interrogatory first, Clinton could contradict any of his answers.

Benghazi is ultimately a conflict between the Clinton Democrats and the Chicago Machine. A wedge can be driven between these two destructive forces with some well thought-out subpoenas. Exploiting that wedge could light the fuse on the time-bomb and detonate the Obama administration once and for all.

» #NCPOL: Local “feminists” flip out over #NCGA’s employer conscience protection bill

It’s sorta like the Sandra Fluke manufactured “controversy” over “access” to birth control mixing with the religious exemptions issue – except on a local scale, with narcissistic North Carolina “feminists” in the starring role(s).

~~ via RightWingNews : Buck Stops Where

The Treasury Department’s Inspector General confirmed that he told senior Treasury officials in June of 2012, a full five months before Election Day:
… he was investigating the Internal Revenue Service’s screening of politically active organizations seeking tax exemptions, disclosing for the first time on Friday that Obama administration officials were aware of the matter during the presidential campaign year.

» A Degree of Malevolence

The most striking characteristic emerging from accounts of the IRS audits of the administration’s political enemies is the sheer, unbridled malevolence of them. It was, like a friend told me over dinner, as if we had suddenly awoken “in the middle of the third Obama term” to find everything that could never happen, all that was said to be impossible — indeed unthinkable — suddenly upon us. I ate another mouthful of pizza before realizing that, in fact, the events now being decried had happened in his first term.

… unsurprisingly, nobody can remember nothing about nothing. Eric Holder could not for the life of him recall who might have authorized such a wide-ranging investigation into the Associated Press. The seizure of an entire news agency’s phone records seemed like a dime someone had mislaid; a trivial something that happened “a long time ago,” like Benghazi, and ‘can you remind me,, Congressman, what that was about again?’

Inadvertent? Unintentional?
I doan thinks those words means whats youse thinks they means.

» IRS Demanded Info about Pro-Life Group’s Prayers

An IRS office in California ordered Christian Voices for Life of Fort Bend County, Texas to explain the content of prayers “as if they were engaging in highly offensive or criminal behavior,” …. Agents also ordered Coalition for Life of Iowa to provide detailed information about the group’s prayer meetings

…. The agents also told one of the pro-life groups that they could not picket or protest abortion clinics.
“The IRS was concerned about advocacy … The (agent) said picketing and protesting is not allowed.”

Is there any part of the 1st Amendment that is understood by this administration and the agencies thereof?

Bearing in mind that info required by IRS is supposedly for determination of eligibility for IRS blessings; the IRS, as a the tax-collecting arm of the federal government, has been saying that those blessings are only for those who pray to God in a manner approved by the federal government. If you say the wrong words to God, in the wrong context, then you forfeit the blessings of the federal government.
I have a pocket full of cash that says “Allah Akbar” is not on the IRS’s list of banned prayer words.

Liberals sputtering over IRS tyranny like an antique lawnmower: We have been yanking on the starter cord for years, trying to get the liberal-biased antique media fired up over the growing tyranny of big Progressive government.

» Scarborough on IRS scandal: This makes it harder to trust the government on gun background checks, doesn’t it?

He should know in his bones, without needing sporadic reminders, that abuses like the IRS’s are possible. Just last month, Missouri’s state government got caught leaking a list of concealed-carry permit holders to the feds. At least one Democrat in Congress freely admits that she’d support a national registry. Twice in the past six months, major publications have posted the names of local gun owners as an intimidation tactic. There’s every reason to worry about federal employees abusing personal information related to gun ownership given the ferocity of liberal opposition to gun rights. Why did Scarborough need the IRS to crap the bed to remind him of it?

Now that we have a new media that actually works, that actually does what media is supposed to do, that doesn’t excuse or tolerate tyranny; the old antique wants to cough and sputter to life?

No. Thanks but no thanks, liberal media. You are so worthless, you’re not even good for spare parts.

» Cook’s fallacy “97% consensus” study is a marketing ploy some journalists will fall for

Welcome to the last dregs of the Great Scare Campaign, where the end game strategy is merely to repeat what worked for them before, which is the abjectly false and profoundly unscientific decree that we must believe the Gods Of Science.

The sad thing is that some environment and “science” reporters are so poorly trained they fall for what is essentially marketing that poses as science.

If only The Convinced had evidence for their favorite pet theory? Then activists like Cook would be able to debate in public, speak politely, and explain their case instead of resorting to cheap smears, dodgy research, and misleading statements.

Thousands of papers support man-made climate change, but not one found the evidence that matters …
Cook’s study shows 66% of papers didn’t endorse man-made global warming ….
Most of these consensus papers assume the theory is correct but never checked. They are irrelevant ….
Money paid to believers is 3500 times larger than that paid to skeptics (from all sources) ….
Some of these abstracts are 20 years old — does two decades of new evidence change anything?

» Here Comes More EPA Intrusion Into Fracking

100-year supply of natural gas is now reachable thanks to hydraulic fracturing. However, on March 25th of this year, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced that they would be forming a Hydraulic Fracturing Advisory Board. The Science Advisory Board will have oversight of this new fracturing board. The intent of this board is to study the effects of hydraulic fracturing on drinking water.

» The End of Competition

Messiness is another word for chaos. And no one likes chaos. Chaos means that in the richest country in the world some people will be illiterate, others will be homeless and some will accidentally set themselves on fire because the fireworks don’t come with enough safety warnings.

Those aren’t good things. They’re not things that governments and the squeaky wheels who make governments what they are think should be tolerated. They’re messy.

The liberal argument is largely an argument for a society consolidated around government in service to progressive ideals. It’s a tidy world in which governments and non-profits consume an always increasing share of everything else until there isn’t anything else because it’s been consolidated. The end result of that process however isn’t progressive. It’s tribal.
