Mass murder at a sunny college campus in a beach town would normally be considered “newsy,” but Elliot Rodger’s massacre at the University of California-Santa Barbara last Friday is getting surprisingly little press.

This is not a good case for liberals: The killer was an immigrant, a person of color, and the majority of his casualties resulted from attacks with a car or knife. It makes as much sense to rant about the NRA as to blame the Auto Club of America or the National Knife Collectors Association.

Rather, what we have is yet another mass murder committed by a schizophrenic — just like those of Seung-Hui Cho, Jared Loughner, James Holmes, and Adam Lanza.

Yes, they all used guns. Also, they were all males. They were all college-aged. They all had hair. Those are not distinctive characteristics.

When the last five mass murderers share something that only 1 percent of the population has, I think we’ve found the relevant common denominator.

» #YesAllWomen : With regard to male shooters, I’ve finally figured out the Democrats’ universal theory of everything

Dear Friend, I have the answer for you, and it is a universal theory of everything when it comes to men and guns in America:

You guys are bad, bad to the bone. B-b-b-bad. B-b-b-bad to the bone. Everything is and always will be your fault.

1/The above statement does not apply to gay men, men of color, or men in the Democrat party.

2/The above statement does not apply to men in the Democrat party if they use guns to shoot people.

3/The above statement does not apply to men in the Democrat party who use guns to shoot people if the shooter is black.

I trust that everything is clear now.

» HERE THEY COME: California Legislators Propose New Gun Bills After Isla Vista Massacre

The biggest problem in California and other nanny states seems to be the deeply misguided belief that “just one more law” will be able to fix all of society’s ills. The reality, of course, is the opposite: when everything is illegal, everyone becomes an offender in a deeply flawed system, and lives are destroyed as a result. The crushing weight of too many laws and regulations ends up creating a world in which people and society both break more often, with tragic results.

Rest assured that Skinner’s legislation is to be merely the first of many knee-jerk reactionary bills that will jam the California legislature, and that none will do anything other than compound the problem.

“Nobody Needs.” The Media Attempts To Grant “Absolute Moral Authority” To The Gun Control Movement.

So Mr. Martinez wants us to approach his arguments from a rational perspective? We can do that.

We can start by noting that equating handguns to nuclear weapons is a fallacious argument to be made by schoolchildren, not by serious adults looking for real solutions to a complex problem of balancing the constitutional rights of the individual, the desires of the community, and the will of the state.

Martinez’s claim that, “Nobody needs to own three semi-automatic handguns,” is likewise a fallacious argument. No matter how distraught he is at the moment, Mr. Martinez is arguing his opinion. He is not arguing facts.

Perhaps Mr. Martinez does have a rational argument to make against the ownership of firearms. Perhaps he can be emotional and rational at the same time. Unfortunately, Mr. Martinez hasn’t made a rational argument yet that suggests we should upend the Constitution based upon what he thinks our nation needs in his personal time of grief.

“If you want to change the world, don’t ever, ever ring the bell.”
» The Speech Every Graduate Should Hear

Predictably, every year in May, there are keynote speakers who are bullied from commencement schedules, uninvited because some Leftist campus cadre has decreed that the speaker does not fully comport with their ill-informed worldview.

Thus, a small group of ideologically intolerant vermin and their Rutgers’ Faculty Council sponsors denied Rutgers graduates an opportunity to hear from a distinguished political scientist and diplomat – a black woman who grew up materially impoverished in the segregated South, whose childhood friend was among those murdered in the infamous Sixteenth Street Baptist Church bombing in Birmingham; who graduated from college Phi Beta Kappa at age 19; who performed as a concert pianist at the Kennedy Center; and who became the first woman to serve as our nation’s National Security Advisor.

Bravo, Rutgers.

» Evil is the Motive of Evil

Evil wants absolute power over others. If it can’t rule, it will destroy. If it can’t control everyone, then it will enforce absolute control over a few victims by taking their lives.

The narcissistic mass murderer is striving to eliminate everyone who is not made in his image. He is a frustrated little godling who wants to be worshiped. He rejects the presence of the rest of the human race because they are different than him. His preferred forms of worship are conformity and death.

… here in our own country, there is an ideology that is obsessed with controlling and shaping all of human behavior. We call that ideology by many names such as liberalism or progressivism, but it’s more accurately a diseased narcissism whose followers strive to stamp out anyone who doesn’t think like them and to control the lives of everyone else.
… It’s only the failed narcissistic killer who goes on a suicide spree. The successful ones go on to become dictators.

» Dear Democrats: If this administration can’t get socialism right, how will any administration, ever?

Going into the 2008 election, Democrats devoutly believed two things: First, they believed that socialism could be made to work. Second, they believed that Barack Obama has every quality necessary to effectuate American-style socialism.

Naturally, DemProgs understood that the perfect socialist candidate — the correct race, the correct class, the correct education, the correct sky-high intelligence, the correct dash of magic and charisma — couldn’t be expected to do it alone. He needed a government that would work with him, not against him and, for the first two years of his administration, that’s what Obama got: he owned Congress, since both houses had Democrat majorities.

Obama’s election, therefore, provided the perfect conditions that socialism in America could be done right. It’s hard to imagine that the stars could ever again be so perfectly aligned. So what happened?

» Feminist Moonbat Demands Abolition of Masculinity

This quote offers some insight into liberalism:

“Liberty and a living planet will only be won when masculinity, its religion, its economics, its psychology, and its sex is resisted and finally defeated.”

If moonbats hate masculinity so much, it’s no wonder they worship Obama.

» The ‘Almost Exclusively White Phenomenon’ of Conservatism

It shouldn’t even need to be pointed out that we are bringing the “crisis” described above upon ourselves. We import poorly educated, low-skilled minorities who predictably have unequal educational and occupational outcomes. Then we trash our own country’s reputation for failing to provide equal opportunity. Forget any suggestion that attitudes, habits, consciously chosen lifestyles, established cultures, or language preferences are behind these inequalities. The New American Creed is that inequalities are America’s fault.

If you don’t care now, you will be made to care, or else just made to shut up and pay. Either way, the American majority will bear the elite-imposed costs of racial inequality, with affirmative action being the most offensive.

» Lumber Union Protectionists Incited SWAT Raid On My Factory, Says Gibson Guitar CEO

Gibson’s very success made it a fat target for federal prosecutors, whom Juszkiewicz alleges were operating at the behest of lumber unions and environmental pressure groups seeking to kill the market for lumber imports. “This case was not about conservation,” he says. “It was basically protectionism.”

Two months before the raid, lobbyists slipped some arcane supply-chain reporting provisions into an extension of the Lacey Act of 1900 that changed the technical definition of “fingerboard blanks,” which are legal to import.

With no clear legal standards, a sealed warrant the company has not been allowed to see too this day, no formal charges filed, and the threat of a prison term hanging over any executive who does not take “due care” to abide by this absurdly vague law, Gibson settled. “You’re fighting a very well organized political machine in the unions,” Juszkiewicz concluded. “And the conservation guys have sort of gone along.” Hey, what’s not to like about $50,000?

“We are in terrible trouble as a nation under law,” he says. “When you have a system predicated on jurisdictional interests rather than on specific, identifiable, understandable, definable violations of law, there is a great opportunity for tyranny.”
